Greenhouse Gas Audit
Every Greenhouse Gas Audit undertaken by co2balance is conducted in accordance with the internationally recognised ISO 14064_1 and World Business Council for Sustainable Development and World Resources Institute’s (WBSCD/WRI) Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
The assessment includes the six Kyoto greenhouse gases, establishing clear boundaries between Scopes 1, 2 and 3. All emissions factors which are used are the most up-to-date available from referenced sources.
The aim of this GHG Assessment is to quantify the emissions associated with any will include:
- Utility consumption, gas, electric and water where applicable
- Fuel consumption by company owned and long-term leased vehicles
- Staff business travel in both vehicles owned by staff but on company business and travel in taxis, on airplanes etc
- Waste – both recycled and waste to landfill
